From performing at major sporting events to entertaining royalty, Eight Ray Music’s acts have travelled far and wide in 2017. We pay homage to their work in the Year In Images.

2017 has been a brilliant year for Eight Ray Music and our performers. From performing at major sporting events and entertaining royalty to enjoying residencies in the UK’s finest venues and jet-setting to destination weddings, the Eight Ray Music team has organised spectacular live music across the world during an incredible year.

The team would like to take this opportunity to thank all our wonderful clients and performers for making all of this possible. It’s been a truly exciting year and there is nothing better than seeing our musicians succeed and our clients surprised and delighted with each and every performance.

Month by month we’ve charted the progress and travels of our musicians via the Month In Images series and so it felt right to collate the year’s best images and share them in this article!

Jukebox have performed in some of London’s finest venues during 2017, enjoying a number of gigs at both The Ned and Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square. The band has also entertained at corporate gigs and illustrious events such as a summer party for Pandora and the Henley Royal Regatta!

Duke

Duke need little introduction. Creating their HUGE sound with just three voices and a guitar it’s unsurprising that the boys have enjoyed a stellar 2017, finding themselves gigging across the world for celebrities, major corporations and top festivals!

Okiem

Okiem finished 2017 in style by winning ‘Best Album’ at the Black British Entertainment Awards for his debut album Xiro. It capped off a year in which the performer stunned audiences with his ‘cinematic classical’ style and stunning original compositions.

The Revue

The Revue have enjoyed performing at prestigious venues, events and a number of destination weddings during 2017 and based on their bookings so far 2018 will be even bigger and better for the band.

In December alone the band performed in both India and Dubai, sporting their latest collaboration – suits from tailors Clements & Church!

Bloc Off The Wall

Bloc Off The Wall keep providing scintillating performances at each and every gig. The band topped off a big year by performing at the Mandarin Oriental in Jakarta for Prestige Indonesia during December.

It followed a year of great gigs for the band who are going from strength to strength. Expect to see a whole lot more from the boys in 2018!

Radio

Radio have enjoyed a huge year. The boys entertained royalty and top celebrities during this year’s Monaco Grand Prix;  entertaining at Red Bull’s energy station and for the Princess of Monaco during the GP weekend.

At one point they even responded to a request from Serena Williams’ manager to serenade the tennis superstar by performing Isn’t She Lovely!

To top it all off, check out lead singer Mike Davies singing live in Hyde Park alongside Emeli Sande!

Roaming Revels

The Roaming Revels were formed by Eight Ray Music to fill a gap in the market for an all-female roaming band. Composed of highly talented individual performers it’s unsurprising that the Revels first year has been a great success.

The girls have enjoyed performances at major corporate events for the likes of Audi and Chelsea FC. Not to mention their performances at a number of prestigious venues and events. We can’t wait to see what 2018 holds for this incredible band.

Clare Sophia

In 2017, Clare Sophia has performed for luxurious celebrity destination weddings, at the capital’s hotspots and in an array of luxury locations. 2018 will be bigger still for this highly talented performer.

Jak Chantler

An immensely talented instrumental guitarist, Jak’s services have been in high-demand during 2017 performing for a number of luxurious corporate functions, not in the least the likes of Wimbledon and Queen’s.

JG Collective

JG Collective need little introduction and the band have enjoyed a stellar 2017 performign for a variety of huge corporate and private events, from celebrity weddings through to major corporate gigs.

Gatsby Soul

In our hottest wedding trends of 2018, a number of experts suggested live DJs accompanied by Saxophonists would be a hot trend for weddings.

It’s something that has worked beautifully at corporate events for many years now and Gatsby Soul are proof of this, performing at prestigious events and venues throughout 2017.

Coleman Collective

Coleman Collective have delighted audiences with their soulful takes on modern hits during 2017. The boys have regularly performed at many of the capital’s finest venues from The Ned to Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square. We can’t wait to see this band in action during 2018!

Chroma

From top festivals and corporate events to spectacular weddings, Chroma have proven their versatility as exceptional performers during 2017. We’re looking forward to seeing what the band can accomplish in 2018!

Phoenix

Phoenix  started 2017 with a stunning #SoundsPurple performance at Soho Farmhouse and have gone from strength to strength ever since, performing for top corporates to celebrity weddings. We’re looking forward to seeing what 2018 holds for this talented band.

DJ Jamie Taylor

DJ Jamie Taylor continued to entertain and impress the crowds at an eclectic variety of events during 2017, from his annual stints on the decks at Henley Royal Regatta, Wimbledon and Rewind Festival to a number of prestigious corporate and private events. If you need a DJ to keep a crowd dancing all night long during 2018 then look no further.

Freeman

Freeman were in high demand in 2017, performing across Europe for a number of cool gigs. We’re looking forward to seeing what the boys get up to in 2018!

Coyote

From Rewind Festival to Murrayfield, 2017 has been a year of big crowds and big performances from Coyote!

The Robert Benson Trio

Last but certainly not least. It’s been a big year for saxophonist Robert Benson, from performances at destination weddings with The Revue through to solo gigs. The talented performer now has his own collective and they recently performed at Sky Studios! We can’t wait to see what 2018 holds for Robert!
